We accept all Canadian dental insurance plans, but do not currently accept plans that are out of country. While the responsibility for payment of dental treatment always rests fully with the patient, in most cases we are able to assist our patients by accepting payment directly from the insurance company. As a patient, you generally only have to pay your portion at the time of your appointment.
Its important to know and understand what your insurance plan covers. Dental benefits are in place to provide financial help to patients that require treatment, not dictate what treatments they are or are not able to receive. We work with our patients and their insurance plans to get as much coverage as possible for dental services provided by Dr. Yip, but insurance may not cover all dental treatment needs.
If you are unsure of what treatments your dental insurance plan covers, please call your insurance provider.
We currently accept cash, Debit, Visa and MasterCard as forms of payment for dental treatment administered by Dr. Yip. We will also accept personal cheques from established clients that have good credit history with our office, and have been a consistent patient of ours for a minimum of 2 years. Established clients can also pay for dental treatment over a period of 3-4 months if a treatment / payment plan has been established an agreed upon in advance. Payment plans are generally arranged by either pre-authorized credit card payments or post-dated cheques.
New and existing patients may also apply for financing through DentalCard. Applications are available at our office. Alternatively, we can accept pre-payments to build up a credit on account that can then be applied to treatments. Of course, clients can also arrange their own financing outside of our office.
If you have any questions regarding patient financing, please don’t hesitate to contact our office.
